I was in 7th grade when Covid-19 started to become a thing. We were all clueless, innocent, confused, and scared. Who would've thought that the 2 weeks of no classes became 2 years of not going to school? At first, I was okay with it because I knew for a fact that it was for our own safety. Not until lots of months have passed.
As time went by, I started feeling lonely. Being locked up at home, not being able to go out made me feel that way. I wasn't able to meet my friends nor my other relatives, because the risk of going out was very scary. Whenever I talked to them, facing my phone was quite sad, wishing that it was them in front of me. But still, I am thankful because without our modern technology I wouldn't be able to see them virtually.
With my cellphone as my companion, downloading and playing online games were my only escape. Because of online games, I was able to get close with my current friends. Playing with
them was really fun, because we made lots of laughs and it really helped me forget all the pressure and problems I was dealing with. Being locked up during a pandemic was really sad, but I am thankful for having them in my life. Without my friends, my pandemic life would've been miserable.
I will forever be grateful for having the nicest and the best people around me. :)
